In “Midday Stars,” Emmanuel Dudu uses round figures in abstracted form that converge, and diverge, from a concentrated point. These figures could represent various things, including: humans under a microscopic lens, the sky above us, or cellular life in all its intricacies. One thing remains clear however, and that is that “Midday Stars” depicts a dance. A dance of various things, beings, figures, all within the same environment and looking to thrive; much like human interaction.
Dudu is a strong exponent of consistency and resilience who believes that any successful artist must first and foremost be built for endurance. This attitude to artistry has defined a long-lasting and successful career and translated to his works.
