Funke Oladimeji is a contemporary African artist at Universal Studios of Art in Lagos, Nigeria. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Ekiti in 2012 and has continued a career in the arts ever since. Her art style features harsh brush strokes that give her paintings a realistic feel: the landscapes can almost be touched, smelled, felt, sensed. Oladimeji often inculcates her philosophical outlook on life and historical events into her paintings. She regularly depicts rural Nigerian areas with admiration.
