Norbert Okpu: The Melodies of love that burns within

“Melodies of Love that Burns Within,” another one of Okpu’s experimental paintings, features a unique approach to depicting the human male figure. On closer inspection, the prominent figure comprises more miniature human figures in a harmonious dance that, in some sense, informs the tunes that the prominent figure creates with the saxophone. “Melodies of Love that Burns Within” is an inquisition into the invisible threads that connect us to every person we’ve come in contact with: we are an amalgamation of all we have experienced and desire.
